John Farnham tribute concert features Chris Martin and Céline Dion

A major tribute concert, ‘The Songs of John Farnham: A Living Legend’, was held at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena to celebrate the career of the legendary Australian singer. Due to health issues, Farnham was unable to attend the event, which featured over 120 performers. Notable participants included Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who performed an original acoustic song dedicated to Farnham, and Céline Dion, who appeared remotely from her residency in Paris to perform ‘You’re the Voice’.

The concert’s success has led to a re-edited version being released for cinema screenings through HOYTS. Additionally, the documentary ‘John Farnham: Finding The Voice’ recently won the 2024 TV Week Logie Award for Best Documentary.

Separately, Céline Dion has made a highly anticipated return to the stage with a series of performances at the Plenitude Arena in Paris. Her comeback follows her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder. Her recent appearances have been noted for their emotional impact and her resilience in performing despite her health challenges.
