John Farnham tribute concert to broadcast live in Australian cinemas

A massive tribute concert celebrating the career of Australian music icon John Farnham will be broadcast live to HOYTS cinemas nationwide following a rapid sell-out at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena. Titled ‘The Songs of John Farnham: A Living Legend – The Celebration Concert’, the event is scheduled for Sunday, September 20.

Produced by Cochrane Entertainment and TEG Dainty, the production features over 120 artists and musicians under the direction of Chong Lim. The lineup includes local stars such as Keith Urban, Tina Arena, Jimmy Barnes, Kate Ceberano, and Jessica Mauboy, as well as international performers Celine Dion and Hugh Jackman, who will participate via satellite from Paris and Los Angeles.

The event aims to raise funds for Head and Neck Cancer Australia. Due to the overwhelming demand for the 15,000-capacity arena show, the partnership with HOYTS allows fans across the country to experience the performances simultaneously with the live audience in Melbourne.
