John Fetterman challenges Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner over alleged explicit texts

Sen. John Fetterman (D‑PA) told Fox News he would “wear a suit every day” in the Senate if Maine Democratic Senate hopeful Graham Platner released the messages that allegedly show he sent explicit texts to women, including claims they were sent to minors. The demand follows reporting by the Wall Street Journal and New York Times that Platner used the Kik app to exchange sexually explicit messages and that several women described unsettling behavior during their relationships with him.

Platner responded on X, dismissing Fetterman's suit comment and accusing the senator of being a “stooge for AIPAC and the Republican party.” He labeled the controversy “politically motivated” and “false,” while urging supporters to back him ahead of the June primary against incumbent Sen. Susan Collins. Recent polls show Platner’s unfavorable rating has nearly doubled as the scandal gains attention.
