John Fetterman pledges not to campaign against Sen. Dave McCormick

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) has stated he will not campaign against his Republican colleague, Senator Dave McCormick, in future elections. Fetterman described McCormick as a “friend” and emphasized that he would “never, ever move against” him.

The two senators, who represent Pennsylvania, have developed an unusual bipartisan relationship. They recently formed a joint fundraising committee, a move that has sparked speculation regarding Fetterman’s political alignment, though Fetterman has repeatedly rejected suggestions that he would leave the Democratic Party.

This alliance marks a significant shift from the 2024 election cycle, during which Fetterman supported Democratic incumbent Bob Casey and criticized McCormick. Since entering the Senate, the pair has frequently co-sponsored legislation and emphasized the importance of bipartisanship.
