John Fredriksen tops Kapital’s list of Norway’s wealthiest individuals

The magazine Kapital has released its list of Norway’s wealthiest individuals, mapping actual estimated values rather than relying solely on annual tax lists. The ranking includes Norwegians living domestically, those living abroad, and former citizens who have changed nationality.

John Fredriksen tops the list with a fortune of 325 billion NOK. A shipping investor with major interests in Frontline and Mowi, Fredriksen is currently a resident of the United Arab Emirates.

Torstein Hagen follows in second place with 210 billion NOK. The founder of the cruise line Viking, Hagen is based in Switzerland.

Kjell Inge Røkke is ranked third with a fortune of 84.3 billion NOK, with significant interests in the Aker industrial system.
