John Galliano launches ‘Reform’ collection with Zara
Zara has launched ‘Reform’, a collaborative collection designed by couturier John Galliano. The project focuses on deconstructing and reinterpreting pieces from the brand’s archives using haute couture techniques, such as ‘physical hacking’, ‘splicing’, and ‘The Flix’—a method of layering sheer pieces to create movement.
The collection features a wide range of prices, from accessories like scarves and silk items starting at approximately 29 euros to more elaborate garments such as silk dresses and wool coats reaching up to 719 euros or more. Key items include sculptural Mary Jane platforms, cashmere sweaters, and the ‘Tri-Chic’ reversible bag.
To mark the launch, Zara hosted an immersive, by-appointment exhibition in a historic mansion in the Marais district of Paris. The experience includes curated displays of Galliano’s personal collection and cinematic installations. The collection is available through Zara’s online platform and select flagship stores globally.
