Actor John Goodman has joined the cast of the second season of the Netflix thriller ‘The Beast in Me’. Goodman will portray Jack, the father of the character Aggie Wiggs, played by Claire Danes.

Originally intended as a limited series, the show was renewed for a second season following the success of its first installment, which included an Emmy win for Matthew Rhys. Showrunner Howard Gordon stated that the decision to continue was based on finding a story worthy of the first season.

While specific plot details for the upcoming season remain undisclosed, the production will see Howard Gordon serving as co-showrunner alongside Daniel Pearle.
