Scottish actor John Hannah appeared on BBC’s The One Show with presenters Alex Jones and Vernon Kay to promote Channel 5’s upcoming six‑part comedy‑drama Benidorm Is Murder. The series follows a retired detective who runs a bar in Spain and solves tourist murders with the help of a true‑crime‑obsessed barmaid, Rosa. During the interview Hannah praised the script, two weeks of sunshine in Gran Canaria and the chemistry among cast members, but he quipped that the fee he received “wasn’t the best.” The hosts and guest actress Diane Morgan laughed, noting the light‑hearted nature of the comment.
