John Kennedy accused of threatening delivery worker in Rio de Janeiro
Fluminense football player John Kennedy has been accused of making threats and using insults against an app delivery worker, Samantha Guzman. The incident reportedly took place at a private hospital in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, where Kennedy was recovering from knee surgery.
Guzman filed a police report alleging that after a disagreement regarding a delivery, Kennedy sent several insults through the delivery application's chat. She further claimed that a man identified as André, whom Kennedy introduced as his driver, later appeared at her place of business to intimidate her and her husband.
In an official statement, Kennedy's staff acknowledged that a discussion occurred due to delivery issues but vehemently denied that any threats were made. The defense maintained that the player has been focused on his post-operative recovery and has had no direct physical contact with the worker involved.
