John Kennedy discharged from hospital following knee complications

Fluminense striker John Kennedy has been discharged from the hospital earlier than expected following a preventive hospitalization. The athlete was admitted after experiencing an atypical joint effusion in his right knee, which had recently undergone surgery to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament.

Medical staff had initially feared a potential infection due to intense swelling that appeared six days post-surgery. However, Kennedy responded positively to medication, allowing him to be released ahead of the original Tuesday deadline.

Kennedy will continue his recovery process under the supervision of Fluminense’s medical department and his private physicians. Due to the extensive rehabilitation required for his knee injury, he is not expected to return to competitive play until next year.
