John Kruk jokes about running for President

Philadelphia Phillies broadcaster and former first baseman John Kruk jokingly addressed potential presidential aspirations during a game at Citizens Bank Park. While participating in a fan light display alongside broadcast partner Tom McCarthy, Kruk remarked, “We’re men of the people… we’re leaders of the free world. People want us to run.”

Kruk continued the humorous tangent by suggesting he might only serve a single four-year term. The comments follow recent recognition of the Phillies' broadcast booth, which ranked sixth in Awful Announcing’s annual local broadcaster rankings based on fan votes.
