John Kulewicz calls for investigation into JobsOhio and Intel ties

Democratic candidate for Ohio Attorney General John Kulewicz has called for an investigation by the state inspector general into potential conflicts of interest involving JobsOhio and Intel. Kulewicz filed an amended complaint with Inspector General Randall J. Meyer regarding Josh Rubin, the chairman of the JobsOhio board and CEO of the CJR Group.

Reports indicate that Rubin has continued to lobby for Intel while serving on the board of JobsOhio, a quasi-public economic development agency. The complaint alleges that Rubin was actively lobbying Governor Mike DeWine on behalf of Intel as recently as April 2026, raising ethical questions about whether JobsOhio funds are being used to benefit lobbying clients. JobsOhio has disbursed over $2 billion in incentives to businesses.

Kulewicz’s Republican opponent, Keith Faber, has not responded to questions regarding the matter. The Ohio Democratic Party has criticized Faber for his refusal to address the potential corruption and ties between the state agency and major corporations.
