John Legend releases Muse album with Pharrell Williams

John Legend released his new 16-track album, Muse, on October 23, 2026, via Republic Records. The project marks the first full collaborative album between Legend and Pharrell Williams following a friendship spanning over two decades. Williams produced and co-wrote every track on the album.

The musical style of Muse spans R&B, soul, gospel, doo-wop, afrobeats, and hip-hop. Much of the work was recorded at Williams' studio located at the Louis Vuitton headquarters in Paris. The album features a music video for the track “Bodies On The Floor,” which includes a guest appearance by Clipse.

In addition to the album, Legend is working on the stage music for Imitation of Life. Previews for this production are scheduled to begin on November 21, 2026, at The Shed in New York, with an official opening set for December 3, 2026.
