John Leguizamo to receive Career Achievement Award at Critics Choice ceremony

The Critics Choice Association has announced the honorees for its sixth annual Celebración of Cinema and Television, scheduled for October 2 in Beverly Hills. The event, formerly known as the Celebration of Latino Cinema and Television, recognizes Latino and Hispanic talent in the entertainment industry.

Veteran actor John Leguizamo will receive the Career Achievement Award, honoring a career spanning over four decades that includes roles in ‘Carlito’s Way’, ‘Moulin Rouge!’, and the ‘Ice Age’ franchise. His recent appearance in ‘The Odyssey’ has contributed to the film’s significant global box office success.

Other honorees include Inde Navarrette, who will receive the Breakthrough Actress Award – Film for her performance in ‘Obsession’. James Ortiz is set to collect the Innovator Award for his work on ‘Project Hail Mary’, and Judy Reyes will be presented with the Trailblazer Award for her television career. Laysla De Oliveira will receive the Breakthrough Actress Award – Series for her role in ‘Lioness’.
