John Livigni accused of leading Washington Square Park drug ring

A federal trial has commenced in Manhattan against John Livigni, who is accused of leading a sophisticated drug operation near Washington Square Park for at least two decades. Prosecutors describe the organization, known as the ‘Yellow Bag Boys’ or ‘WSP Enterprise’, as having a rigid corporate-style structure.

Former dealer Justin Barry testified that the operation utilized three daily shifts consisting of one worker and two managers to maintain distance from direct transactions. While workers earned up to $500 daily, managers were paid approximately $800 weekly to remain ‘safe’ from the physical exchanges. The group allegedly used color-coded packaging: yellow bags for crack cocaine and light-blue envelopes for heroin and fentanyl. Barry estimated that Livigni generated nearly $40,000 in monthly revenue.

Federal prosecutors allege the ring distributed millions of opioid doses, which they link to at least 65 overdoses in the park since 2020. Livigni faces charges related to these activities, including two drug-related deaths occurring in 2025.
