John Malkovich to perform in Riga theatrical production

Hollywood actor John Malkovich is scheduled to perform in Riga at the Xiaomi Arena on April 11, 2027. He will star in the internationally acclaimed theatrical production ‘Music Critic’, a performance that blends classical music with theatre and modern stand-up comedy.

The production was conceived and scripted by violinist, composer, and conductor Alexey Igudesman. The show utilizes authentic historical music reviews of works by composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Debussy, transforming critical assessments into an intellectual comedy and musical dialogue.

Malkovich, an Emmy winner and two-time Oscar nominee, brings over four decades of experience in film, television, and theatre to this experimental musical performance.
