John Marquis makes impact in Woking FC debut

Striker John Marquis has made a significant impact following his move to Woking FC. After joining the club from Shrewsbury, Marquis scored two goals on his home league debut at Laithwaite Community Stadium, contributing to a 5-1 victory against Altrincham.

Woking joint-interim manager Jake Hyde praised Marquis for his professionalism, work rate, and the tactical presence he provides, noting that his ability to draw opposition attention creates space for other players. Hyde also highlighted a strong performance from Matt Ward, who scored the opening goal in the match.
