John Martin resigns as CEO of PFL-MVP
John Martin has resigned as CEO of PFL-MVP, the entity formed by the merger of the Professional Fighters League and Most Valuable Promotions. Martin announced his immediate departure via Instagram, stating that the move follows a successful year and the integration of the two organizations.
Martin expressed support for Nakisa Bidarian, a co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, to lead the company through its next phase. He noted that he and Bidarian worked closely to facilitate the merger and believes Bidarian is the “natural person to lead this next chapter.”
The leadership change follows the merger announced in July, which combined boxing and mixed martial arts operations under the MVP banner. While Martin has stepped down from the chief executive role, the company has not yet announced a formal successor or a specific interim leadership structure.
