John Mayer’s duet with Lainey Wilson, “Phone, Keys, Wallet,” climbed to No. 14 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, marking the guitarist‑singer’s highest placement on the country list and tying his longest‑running country hit. The song also rose to No. 74 on the Billboard Hot 100, representing a new peak for Mayer across all genres.

Separately, Mayer’s Heart and Armor Foundation, which he founded after a 2008 encounter with wounded veterans, has secured a Department of Defense grant and raised $13 million to fund research into PTSD and traumatic brain injury for service members. The foundation’s work includes dozens of studies on veteran health issues and has earned Mayer the Hollywood Reporter’s Philanthropist of the Year honor.
