Singer-songwriter and guitarist John Mayer has released “Tom and Jerry,” his first new solo single since the 2021 album ‘Sob Rock’. The track, which originated from a voice memo, was released through his new label, Sob Rock Records, in partnership with Mercury Records.

In addition to the musical release, Mayer announced an upcoming residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas scheduled for early 2027. The Live Nation-sponsored performances will feature career-spanning sets including acoustic, electric, and piano arrangements.

A portion of the residency proceeds will support charitable causes. Specifically, 100% of proceeds from ticket auctions will benefit the Heart and Armor Foundation, a veterans' health organization founded by Mayer, while $1 from every ticket sold will go to his Back To You Fund.
