John McEnroe and Patty Smyth list Malibu mansion for $35 million

Tennis legend John McEnroe and musician Patty Smyth have listed their oceanfront residence in Malibu’s exclusive Paradise Cove community for $35 million. The approximately 6,500-square-foot home, constructed in the mid-1990s, sits directly on the sand of a 0.3-acre beachfront lot.

The property features four bedrooms, a two-story fireplace, and an elevator. Outdoor amenities include a covered deck with a private Jacuzzi, a waterfall, and a tiki-style pavilion. The couple purchased the estate in 2015 for approximately $21 million.

While the sale marks the departure from this specific property, the couple intends to retain a smaller nearby residence in Malibu. Paradise Cove is a highly sought-after enclave known locally as ‘Billionaires’ Bluff’ and is home to several other high-profile residents.
