John Mellencamp previews Dancing Words tour with free Evansville rehearsal

John Mellencamp held a free open rehearsal at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana, inviting fans to bring non‑perishable food donations for the Evansville Rescue Mission. The event served as a preview for his upcoming Dancing Words Tour – The Greatest Hits.

The set featured a mix of classic hits and songs he has not performed live in years, including a debut of Van Morrison’s “Wild Night” after more than two decades, as well as “R. O. C. K. in the U.S.A.” (first since 2015), “Love and Happiness” (since 2012), “Our Country” (since 2008) and “I Need a Lover” (since 2009). The tour launches on July 10 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and will conclude on August 12 in Mountain View, California.
