John P. Kee defends Kirk Franklin’s collaboration with GloRilla

Gospel artist John P. Kee has defended Kirk Franklin following online criticism regarding his musical collaboration with rapper GloRilla. Speaking after his performance at Praise In The Park, Kee urged critics to ‘leave Kirk alone’ and allow him to continue his work.

Kee argued that Franklin’s approach allows him to reach audiences who may not attend traditional church services. This marks the second collaboration between Franklin and the Memphis-based rapper, following their work on the track ‘Rain Down On Me’ from GloRilla’s 2025 album, GLORIOUS.
