John Paris, Earth, Wind & Fire drummer, remains in induced coma

Earth, Wind & Fire has provided a health update regarding drummer John Paris, who suffered a critical medical emergency on August 6. The incident occurred just before the band was scheduled to perform at the Chase Center in San Francisco, leading to the cancellation of the show.

Paris was placed in a medically induced coma to receive critical care. While he briefly regained consciousness and was able to communicate with family, his condition fluctuated. Due to rising blood pressure and breathing difficulties, doctors made the decision to sedate him again to stabilize his body.

The 58-year-old drummer remains in intensive care and is expected to undergo two major surgeries as part of his recovery process. A GoFundMe has been established to assist the Paris family with ongoing medical challenges.
