John Poulakidas released by Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks have officially released 23-year-old Greek-American guard John Poulakidas from his two-way contract. Following his release, Poulakidas enters a 48-hour window where other NBA teams may attempt to absorb his contract before he becomes a free agent.

While Poulakidas's priority remains staying in the NBA, interest from European clubs is growing. Olympiacos is reportedly monitoring his situation and remains interested in a potential collaboration should he decide to move to European basketball. A key factor in his potential move to Greece is the ongoing process of obtaining his Greek passport.

Despite his release, some analysts, including journalist Mark Stein, believe Poulakidas remains an NBA-level talent, particularly regarding his shooting ability, and suggest he may find another two-way contract within the league.
