John Summit addresses early exit from Buenos Aires performance
DJ John Summit has addressed the backlash following his performance at Mandarine Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where his set concluded approximately 40 minutes earlier than the scheduled 6:00 a.m. finish. The early exit left many fans frustrated, as the performance did not fulfill the advertised three-hour duration.
Responding via Reddit, Summit explained that the early conclusion was due to travel requirements for his upcoming performance in Rio de Janeiro. He stated, “The promoter should’ve hired a closer after me if they wanted the party to continue much later,” and expressed disappointment regarding the crowd's reaction, noting, “I did my best, it saddens me to see how ungrateful the audience was, but it is what it is.”
The incident has divided public opinion. Some attendees criticized the lack of explanation during the event, while others defended the artist, citing an exhausting tour schedule and travel delays. Supporters pointed out that Summit had traveled from Colombia to Argentina and was scheduled to perform in Brazil shortly after. While fans have debated the responsibility of the event producers, PM Open Air, the artist's tour continues as planned.
