John Turturro honored at Zurich Film Festival

Actor John Turturro received the Golden Eye lifetime achievement award at the Zurich Film Festival. During a masterclass at the event, the 69-year-old actor addressed the critical acclaim surrounding his lead role in ‘The Only Living Pickpocket in New York’.

Turturro noted that while he is not driven by competition, he finds it rewarding to be part of the awards conversation. Sony Pictures Classics has scheduled the film to open in New York and Los Angeles on October 23, with a nationwide expansion on October 30. The film previously premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

Additionally, Turturro confirmed that his character, Irving Bailiff, will return for the third season of the Apple TV+ series ‘Severance’.
