Johnny Fisher targets marquee fights ahead of Michael Pirotton bout

British heavyweight Johnny Fisher is set to face Michael Pirotton this weekend at London’s Copper Box Arena. The bout serves as a critical step for Fisher as he seeks to rebuild momentum and move toward marquee fights. Fisher has expressed interest in facing former WBC champion Deontay Wilder, noting that he believes he is only one or two fights away from the ‘big time.’

Fisher’s return to the Copper Box Arena carries personal significance, as it is the venue where he suffered a previous defeat to Dave Allen. Following his move from Matchroom to Zuffa Boxing, Fisher has reportedly received a significantly higher financial package. While Zuffa has made an aggressive investment in the fighter, analysts note the challenge of managing his technical flaws and aggressive style to protect that investment.
