Johnny Kenny poised for Bolton return as Celtic completes £11 m Kasper Hogh deal
Celtic FC is set to break its transfer record with an £11 million signing of Danish striker Kasper Hogh, who will take the number nine shirt. The deal, confirmed after a medical over the weekend, clears the way for Celtic to negotiate the sale of forward Johnny Kenny.
Bolton Wanderers, where Kenny spent last season on loan, have been linked with a permanent move back to the club. Sky Sports reports that Bolton will soon be allowed to enter transfer talks for Kenny, while Millwall have also expressed interest. Kenny, who has a contract with Celtic until 2029, has recovered from a knee injury and recorded seven goals in 32 appearances for the Scottish champions.
Celtic’s recent activity includes the departure of Daizen Maeda to Premier League side Ipswich Town, indicating a reshuffle of their attacking options ahead of the new season.
