Johnny Trí Nguyễn discusses ‘Hộ linh tráng sĩ: Bí ẩn mộ vua Đinh’

The Vietnamese film ‘Hộ linh tráng sĩ: Bí ẩn mộ vua Đinh’ has earned over 4.24 billion VND in revenue following its early release. Johnny Trí Nguyễn, who serves as both an actor playing Hữu Tướng Quân and the film’s action director, expressed that while he seeks audience appreciation over financial metrics, he hopes for strong box office results to support the industry.

Production details revealed that the crew invested an additional $50,000 to optimize the film for the IMAX format. Nguyễn noted that the action sequences, particularly the opening siege and the final battle, required extensive work, with the siege scene alone taking approximately one and a half months to film.

Despite mixed audience reviews, the production team emphasized their high technical standards. Actor Tuấn Trần also highlighted the physical demands of the role, noting he continued to perform high-intensity action scenes despite suffering a torn ligament.
