Johnny Tri Nguyen operates 1,800m2 martial arts studio in Ho Chi Minh City

Actor Johnny Tri Nguyen, known for his prominent role in Vietnamese action cinema, has established an 1,800m2 martial arts studio located on Le Van Luong Street in Ho Chi Minh City.

Born in 1974, Nguyen comes from a martial arts lineage; his grandfather was the martial arts master Nguyen Chanh Minh. After gaining experience in the United States as an actor and stunt performer, Nguyen returned to Vietnam, where he became a defining figure in the country's action film genre during the 2000s through films such as ‘The Rebel’ (Dong Mau Anh Hung).

While his domestic film appearances have decreased since 2016, he has continued to work on international projects, including the Hollywood film ‘Da 5 Bloods’ (2020) and the series ‘The Continental: From the World of John Wick’ (2023). He currently focuses significantly on martial arts and personal projects.
