Johnny Tri Nguyen returns to film and showcases martial arts academy
Vietnamese actor and action director Johnny Tri Nguyen has drawn public interest following his return to the screen in the project ‘Ho Linh Trang Si: Bi An Mo Vua Dinh’. At 52, the former star of ‘Bloodline’ is making a comeback as both an actor and an action director.
Beyond his film career, Nguyen manages the 1,800 m² Lien Phong martial arts academy in Nha Be, Ho Chi Minh City. The facility serves as his workspace, training ground for students, and personal residence. A notable feature of the estate is a rustic thatched-roof house constructed from natural materials such as wood, leaves, and earth.
Nguyen chose this traditional architectural style to evoke memories of his childhood, noting that he first began practicing martial arts in a thatched house. The expansive grounds include a training area, living quarters, student accommodations, an office, a cafe, and an ecological pond surrounded by greenery.
