Davey O'Brien Foundation announces 2026 preseason quarterback watch lists

The Davey O'Brien Foundation has announced its preseason watch lists for the 2026 Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award. The list features 30 top college quarterbacks selected based on previous Division I performance and expectations for the upcoming season.

Notable quarterbacks named to the watch list include Arch Manning of Texas, Dante Moore of Oregon, and Gunner Stockton of Georgia. Other selections include Owen McCown of UTSA, Trinidad Chambliss of Ole Miss, Darian Mensah of Miami, and Conner Weigman of Houston.

In addition to the Davey O'Brien honors, several players have also earned spots on other prestigious preseason lists. Gunner Stockton and Conner Weigman were both named to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award watch list, while Dante Moore was included on the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm list and the Maxwell Award watch list. Arch Manning also appears on the watch lists for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm, Maxwell, and Walter Camp Player of the Year awards.
