Johnston County Little League wins 12U Softball World Series

The Johnston County Little League 12U Softball team won the 2026 Little League Softball World Series championship in Greenville, North Carolina. The team completed an undefeated 5-0 tournament run, defeating Kentucky's Daviess County Little League 2-0 in the final game at Stallings Stadium.

Anna-Lynn Clark led the pitching for North Carolina in the championship, allowing only three hits while recording six strikeouts and no walks. The victory marks the first World Series title for the Johnston County organization, which only established its softball division in 2023.

Throughout the tournament, Johnston County defeated representatives from Canada, Texas, and Florida. Player Bella Cox contributed to the offense, recording two RBIs and scoring two runs during the tournament.
