Johor Bahru hotel converts Boeing 747s into luxury suites

The 1975 Avenue & Hotel in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, has transformed two Boeing 747 aircraft, named Bove and Bey, into 18 themed hotel suites. The aviation-inspired property soft-opened in August.

Each suite is split across two floors and includes a king-size bed, a separate living area, and a bathroom featuring a freestanding bathtub and rain shower. The suites are themed after various countries, including Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Czechia, England, Italy, and Switzerland. Suites can accommodate up to three guests, with September rates ranging from approximately 1,706 RM to 2,786 RM.

On-site amenities include The Hanareya @ 1975, which serves Japanese fine dining, and the Gem Spa & Wellness center. The hotel also features a gym, rooftop swimming pool, sunken jacuzzi, a man-made beach pool, and the Playscape Water Park. For guests with a fear of flying, the property offers 20 standard rooms in a separate building. The hotel is located near Senai International Airport.
