Johor Government allocates up to RM2.5 million for Indahpura bank restoration
The Johor state government is seeking emergency funding between RM2 million and RM2.5 million to repair a collapsed riverbank at Perumahan Teratai, Indahpura, in Kulai. The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 PM, prompting an immediate site visit by local officials to assess structural stability and risks to residents and road users.
The funding request will be submitted through the Kulai District Disaster Management Committee for consideration under the Johor State Disaster Fund. Authorities have directed the relevant concessionaire to finalize engineering designs and technical specifications within two weeks.
Planned restoration measures include geotechnical assessments, piling work, and improvements to soil stability and drainage systems to prevent future occurrences. Safety measures, such as access control, the installation of safety barriers, and continuous monitoring of ground movement, will be implemented during the recovery process.
