Johor police seize RM1.29 million in drugs in Kluang raid

Johor police seized approximately 25.95 kilograms of drugs, including syabu (methamphetamine) and heroin, during a raid on a house in Kluang on September 13. The drugs are valued at roughly RM1.29 million.

An 18-year-old foreign national, believed to be acting as a warehouse keeper for the syndicate, was detained. Preliminary investigations suggest the syndicate has been active since January. The suspect is currently being remanded for seven days to assist in investigations under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

The house was allegedly used as a storage facility before the illicit substances were distributed to the local market. Authorities noted that the seized drugs had the potential to affect up to 130,960 people if misused.
