Johor Super Crown Polo Tournament 2026 to feature international stars

The Johor Super Crown Polo Tournament (JSCPT) 2026 is set to take place from September 1 to 6 at the Royal Polo Field, Istana Pasir Pelangi. This inaugural elite event, categorized as a 22-goal handicap tournament, is described as the largest and most prestigious polo competition ever organized in Malaysia.

Acting Sultan of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail, is expected to lead the Royal Johor team in the opening match. The tournament features five specially invited teams: Royal Johor, Temasek, J-corp, Korea Polo, and Digital Bridge. The competition includes world-class 10-goal players such as Juan Martín Nero and Pablo Mac Donough.

To ensure high-quality competition, the Royal Johor Polo Club has provided approximately 190 high-performance horses, including over 60 new horses imported from Argentina. Due to security considerations at the Istana Pasir Pelangi area, the event is by special invitation only, though matches will be broadcast live via PoloLine TV and YouTube.
