Joh’Vonnie Jackson discusses family history and biopic portrayal

Joh’Vonnie Jackson, daughter of the late Joe Jackson and Cheryle Ann Terrell, has shared details regarding her upbringing and her relationship with the famous musical family. In a recent appearance on ‘The Portia Show’, she discussed the circumstances of her birth and her decision to title her memoir ‘Bastard Child’, describing the book as a ‘book of grievances’ intended to release long-held emotions.

Jackson noted that while she maintained a mostly good relationship with her father, the secrecy surrounding his relationship with her mother created difficulties, particularly regarding her ability to interact freely with her famous half-siblings.

Additionally, she addressed the recent ‘Michael’ biopic, expressing dissatisfaction with the portrayal of Joe Jackson. While she praised Jaafar Jackson’s performance as Michael, she stated that the cinematic representation of her father did not reflect the man she knew, despite acknowledging his strict parenting style.
