Joint Arab and Jewish Protest in Jaffa Calls Out Police Violence and Racism

On August 7, a joint demonstration took place in the mixed city of Jaffa, on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, bringing together Arab and Jewish Israelis. Protesters marched with signs denouncing racism and police violence directed at the Arab community.

Knesset deputy Ofer Cassif addressed the crowd, accusing the religious‑nationalist “Garinim Toranim” groups of settling in mixed neighborhoods to push Palestinians out. Participants such as David Malovani and a demonstrator identified as Amalia emphasized unity and the need to stop systemic discrimination.
