Joint Forces Command and Yemeni leadership meet in Riyadh to coordinate military efforts

Fahd bin Hamad Al-Salman, commander of the Joint Forces Command for the coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen, met with Tareq Saleh, a member of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council and leader of the National Resistance Forces, in Riyadh. The meeting focused on enhancing coordination and joint efforts to bolster the readiness of the Yemeni armed forces across all fronts to restore state institutions.

The discussions addressed the evolving Yemeni landscape and strategies to support military units on various fronts. Both leaders emphasized the importance of unifying ranks and rehabilitating forces to improve combat capabilities and achieve stability. This coordination comes amid ongoing escalations between Yemeni government forces and Houthi rebels in several regions, including the western coast of Hodeidah and Taiz, as well as Marib and Al Bayda.

The Joint Forces Command, established in 2015, serves as a military and organizational arm of the coalition to coordinate defensive and security operations between Saudi and Gulf forces and Yemeni military units.
