Joint Police and Fire Patrols Boost Safety at Lublin’s Zemborzycki Reservoir
Police officers and firefighters in Lublin have combined their efforts to patrol the Zemborzycki Reservoir. The fire rescue unit JRG‑4 and the municipal police, supported by officers from the Nielisz precinct and the Lublin Prevention Unit, conduct regular waterborne patrols in a police boat. Their duties include monitoring swimmers, anglers and other water users, enforcing designated bathing zones, checking licences and sobriety, and responding quickly to emergencies. The crews also provide joint training, with firefighters teaching police motorboat operators rescue techniques. The initiative aims to improve safety on the lake during the summer season and raise public awareness of water‑related hazards.
