Joinville and Arapongas host school and amateur sports events

Joinville, Santa Catarina, staged a week of school and open‑to‑public sports competitions from 17 to 23 June 2026. Events included beach volleyball, a basketball tournament across city gyms, the Festival of Karate Yokohama on 20 June, the 1st "Vôlei Fio da Vida" cup, and futsal matches in the National Futsal League against Praia Clube in Uberlândia and a home game versus Pouso Futsal on 23 June. The city also hosted the 20th Citadino Amateur Basketball contest on 21 June, drawing regional teams.

In Arapongas, Paraná, the municipal sports department reported results for the week of 8–14 June. The local basketball team won two games in the second stage of the Paranaense Adult Championship, while the volleyball squad fell short in its matches. Cyclists from Arapongas placed in the 55th Circuit of Boa Vista Road Cycling in Joinville and in the MTB Sertão challenge in Sertanópolis. A futsal team lost in the Paranaense Female Adult Championship, and motocross rider Matheus Marques secured third place in the MX1 class of the Copa Paraná, with a fourth‑place finish in MX2.
