Joinville historic house transformed into 1980s themed burger restaurant

Entrepreneurs Eduardo Dumke and Luiz Felipe de Lara have transformed an abandoned historic house in the Pirabeiraba district of Joinville into a themed burger restaurant called Cidade Velha. The establishment, which opened on August 8, features a nostalgic aesthetic centered on the 1980s and 1990s.

The venue is designed to function as a time capsule, divided into distinct themed rooms. These include spaces dedicated to classic cinema, retro music, and vintage cars. The owners spent three months renovating the property on Rua Dona Francisca to bring the project to life.

Future plans for the business include expanding the menu to include vegetarian options, constructing a kids' area, and creating a dedicated space for live local music and karaoke.
