Joinville man arrested for killing puppies with a machete

A 72-year-old man was arrested in the Paranaguamirim neighborhood of Joinville following allegations of animal cruelty. The Civil Police conducted the operation on Thursday morning after reports surfaced that the man killed several newborn puppies with a machete.

The investigation began after a neighbor recorded video footage of the incident and reported being threatened with a machete during a confrontation with the suspect. During the police action, the man was taken into custody, and the mother dog, Lola, was removed from the residence. The Animal Protection Police (DPA) is leading the investigation.
