Jojutla organizes Viva México 5K athletic race

The municipal government of Jojutla, Morelos, is organizing the ‘Viva México 5K’ athletic race to celebrate the national holidays through sports. Scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 8:00 a.m., the event will start and end at the Santa Fe World Jojutla facilities.

Mayor Alan Martínez García stated the goal is to promote physical activity and family gatherings in the southern region of the state. There are two registration options: a free tier that includes only the official runner number, and a 200-peso option that includes an official shirt, number, and commemorative medal. The registration deadline is September 15.

Local participants can collect their kits on Friday, September 25, while out-of-town athletes may pick up their packages on the morning of the race. Authorities expect the event to generate significant economic and tourism benefits for the municipality.
