Jokowi's Lampung Visit Sparks 6,000 New PSI Party Members

President Joko Widodo visited Bandar Lampung in mid‑July, meeting local residents and attending events such as a tahlilan and a wedding. After the visit, the Lampung branch of the Solidaritas Indonesia Party (PSI) said the president’s presence triggered a surge of about 6,000 new members.

PSI officials reported that total party membership in the province rose from roughly 25,000 to 31,200. The party aims to reach 300,000 members by 2028 and plans to strengthen its structures and community outreach in villages and neighborhoods across Lampung.
