Jolene's bar damaged in Mission District two-car crash

A two-car collision at the intersection of 16th and Harrison streets in the Mission District resulted in an SUV crashing into the front entrance of Jolene's, a queer bar, on the morning of October 13, 2026.

The crash occurred shortly before 8 a.m. when a pickup truck and an SUV collided, sending the SUV backward into the establishment's iron gates and entryway. The female driver of the SUV was injured and transported by ambulance, while the driver of the pickup truck appeared unharmed.

Owner Jolene Linsangan reported that the damage to the entryway and iron gate is estimated to cost approximately $10,000. Linsangan has launched a community fundraiser to assist with repair costs while awaiting insurance funds. The bar aims to resume regular operations this coming Thursday.
