A fatal traffic accident occurred on the Jombang-Mojokerto Toll Road at KM 687+200 (Lane B) on Friday night, September 11, 2026, at approximately 23:30 WIB. The incident involved a Toyota Hiace minibus colliding with the rear of a truck carrying gypsum.

Authorities suspect the driver of the Toyota Hiace lost control due to drowsiness, causing the vehicle to swerve before striking the truck. The collision resulted in the deaths of four passengers: Kukuh Bimbing (22), Dwi Raharjanto (49), Tendi Anggoro (28), and Prawoto (55).

Seven other individuals, including the minibus driver Eko Budianto Setiawan (38), sustained minor injuries. Material damages are estimated to be around Rp300 million.
