Jon-Eric Sullivan leads Miami Dolphins rebuilding efforts

Miami Dolphins General Manager Jon-Eric Sullivan is implementing a significant rebuilding strategy following his transition from the Green Bay Packers. To address previous financial mismanagement and a bloated salary cap, Sullivan has opted to part with several veterans, absorbing approximately $179 million in dead cap space to facilitate a long-term restructure of the roster.

Sullivan has also focused on reshaping the team's scouting department and prioritizing the drafting and development of physical players. His approach was highlighted during the draft when he traded down to select offensive lineman Kayden Proctor.

Demonstrating an early commitment to talent evaluation, Sullivan was one of only two NFL general managers in attendance at the LSU vs. Clemson college football game. The event served as a scouting opportunity for numerous NFL teams looking at top prospects such as LSU tight end Trey’Dez Green and offensive tackle Jordan Seaton.
